ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orlando man on Friday claimed a $1 million prize from a scratch-off game that he bought in town, according to Florida Lottery.

Jeffery Mason, 56, opted to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $652,665.60, a Florida Lottery news release states.

Mason bought the winning “$5,000,000 CROSSWORD CASH” ticket from City Store, located at 2893 Delaney Avenue, according to the release.

The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket, the release states.

“$5,000,000 CROSSWORD CASH” is a $20 game that features $239.6 million in cash prizes, including four top prizes of $5 million, with overall winning odds of 1-in-1.2.9, Florida Lottery said.
