TORONTO, ONT – Delta Air Lines is offering $30,000 to passengers on board Monday’s flight from Minneapolis that flipped upside down in Toronto, according to CBS News.
A spokesperson for the company said the Delta Care Team is telling passengers that “this gesture has no strings attached and does not affect rights.”

All 80 people onboard, including four crew members, survived the crash. Twenty out of the 21 passengers taken to the hospital have been released, CBS News said.
Winds gusting to 40 mph swirled when the flight from Minneapolis carrying 76 passengers and four crew attempted to land at around 2:15 p.m.
The plane that crashed, Flight 4819, was an Endeavor Air flight, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines. It landed Monday around 2:15 p.m. at Toronto’s Pearson airport.
Passenger Peter Carlson said the landing was “very forceful,” the Associated Press reported.
“All the sudden everything just kind of went sideways and then next thing I know it’s kind of a blink and I’m upside down still strapped in,” he told CBC News.
The crash investigation is still ongoing, with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada is leading it with support from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.
