SpaceX succeeds with Starlink satellites on planned double-launch day in Florida

Second launch since scrubbed

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – SpaceX put another batch of Starlink satellites in low-Earth orbit Sunday with a Falcon 9 rocket launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The launch was delayed from earlier that morning due to unfavorable weather conditions, originally scheduled for 5:56 a.m.

The rescheduled launch attempt was set for 8:20 a.m. and went off without a hitch.

It was to be the first of two missions scheduled within hours of each other on the Space Coast. The other — SpaceX’s 28th commercial resupply mission — was set to take off at 12:12 p.m. from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A before being scrubbed, delayed to Monday at 11:47 a.m.
