ICYMI: SpaceX rocket launches from Florida’s coast

Falcon 9 rocket lifts off early Friday from Kennedy Space Center

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket blasted off early Friday from the Kennedy Space enter.

The rocket carried another batch of company’s Starlink communications satellites into orbit just after 1 a.m.

The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket touched down on a drone ship in the Atlantic a few minutes after liftoff, completing its 12th mission.

The next rocket launch from the Space Coast is current scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 3.

A Northrop Grumman Cygnus spacecraft is set to launch on a re-supply mission to the International Space Station.
