WATCH: SpaceX launches first rocket of Monday doubleheader from Space Coast

2nd launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – One down, one to go. It could be a double showing of rocket launches on Florida’s Space Coast as SpaceX is looking to launch two missions on Monday.

SpaceX early Monday launched a Falcon 9 rocket on a Commercial Resupply Services (CRS-32) mission to the International Space Station from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.

CRS-32 marked the fifth flight for this Dragon spacecraft, which has previously completed missions CRS-22, CRS-24, CRS-27, and CRS-30 to the space station.

After an estimated 28-hour flight, Dragon is expected to autonomously dock with the orbiting laboratory on Tuesday, April 22, at approximately 8:20 a.m.

In the nightcap, SpaceX is targeting to launch its Falcon 9 rocket for the Bandwagon-3 mission at 8:48 p.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

On board the Falcon 9 for this mission are several payloads, including ADD’s 425Sat-3, Tomorrow Companies Inc.’s Tomorrow-S7, and Atmos Space Cargo’s PHOENIX re-entry capsule.

The launch marks the third flight of the first stage booster supporting the mission, which has previously launched O3b mPOWER-E and Crew-10. After stage separation, the first stage booster will land at Landing Zone 2 (LZ-2) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

If the launch does not happen, a backup opportunity is available on Tuesday at 8:26 p.m.
