Hi, friends! It’s Brenda, back in your inbox for all the Central Florida Happenings.
I recently went with a few friends to paint pottery at All Fired Up in Winter Park and honestly, I don’t know why I haven’t gone before. It was so fun to be creative and work on something for a couple hours (my hard work can be seen above) to get my mind off of everything except the paintbrush in my hand.
One of the things I’d like to make more of an effort of this year is to do more activities with friends instead of the easy going out to drinks or happy hour. I mean, if I’m gonna spend that money anyway, might as well put it toward some cool hand-painted items I can decorate my place with, right????
And just so y’all know, a grand opening celebration is kicking off next week at All Fired Up’s newest location in Waterford Lakes. Click here for the full deets.
Let’s jump into what’s happening here this weekend ⤵️
Clear those spaces on your wall because the 50th annual Mount Dora Arts Festival is right around the corner 🎨.
Organizers promise 300 fine artists will line the streets of historic downtown. There will also be live entertainment, beer, music and festival food.
The free event will run throughout the weekend.

The ZORA! Outdoor Festival of the Arts will take over Eatonville this weekend, celebrating “the cultural contributions people of African ancestry have made to the U.S. and to the world,” the event’s website described.
The festival honors Zora Neale Hurston, the mind behind literary classics as “Their Eyes Were Watching God,” “Mules and Men,” “Spunk” and “Dust Tracks on a Road,” a nonfiction piece which stands alone in a sea of stories 📚.
“Through a powerful combination of music, education, and live performances, including an extraordinary Tribute to the Legends, the festival aims to inspire and connect people from all walks of life‚" event organizers said.
