As the remnants of Tropical Storm Hillary slam Southern California, the National Hurricane Center is tracking three tropical storms in the Atlantic Ocean.

Tropical storms Emily, Franklin and Gert have officially formed but forecasters say all three pose no immediate threat to Florida.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting an above-average hurricane season.

Record-warm ocean temperatures could contribute to a more active late summer and fall, with six to 11 hurricanes, including two to five reaching major hurricane strength.

The other crew members include a Japanese astronaut, a Russian cosmonaut and an astronaut with the European Space Agency.

The crew is set to spend six months on the space station doing experiments.

Liftoff for Crew-7 is currently set for Friday at 3:49 a.m.
