This has been an ongoing process and we’re really excited about making this happen.”

“It is so important that we raise as much money as we can to help support President Trump,” Newlin told News 6.

The latest polls show Trump with a slight edge in key swing states over President Joe Biden but in terms of campaign contributions, Biden has the edge.

According to the Federal Elections Commission, Biden had over $71 million on hand as of the latest report through Feb. 29.

The FEC says Trump has over $33 million on hand, according to the latest report from his campaign.

Just a week ago, Biden was flanked by former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton in a fundraiser that raised a record $26 million at Radio City Music Hall.

The night was hosted by “CBS Late Night” host Stephen Colbert. Other participating celebrities included Queen Latifah, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo and Lea Michele. Tickets sold for as low as $225.

Newlin said he is confident the November election will see Trump as the victor.

“There’s an 8-month or 9-month runway in front of us‚” Newlin told News 6. “There’s a lot of work that has to be done and I’m going to give all of my energy to do whatever is necessary to get victory for President Trump in November.”
