MONTVERDE, Fla. – Catching national attention and turning heads is becoming a common occurrence for this week’s Player of the Week.
Cooper Flagg of Montverde Academy has already become a sensation in the world of basketball. The 16-year-old has been making a name for himself, getting in plenty of action at the elite NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports last week and scoring 38 points and a game-winning block in the Peach Jam in Atlanta on Thursday.
Flagg is one of the highest ranked recruit for the Class of 2025. He has received offers from some of the best college basketball programs like Duke, Connecticut and Michigan, to name a few. It will be a tough decision when the time comes.

But for Flagg, choosing to play at Montverde was a no-brainer. He’s looking forward to his junior year.
“Montverde obviously is a really prestigious high school in the world of basketball,” Flagg said. “Being able to go there, actually start and play a lot of minutes is something I was really proud of. I’m looking forward to next season. We came up a little bit short last season. Just really looking forward to next season, getting back with my guys and really just getting better.”
