ORLANDO, Fla. – Antonio Pollard, a junior guard on the Evans boys’ basketball team, recently finished up his junior season with the Trojans.
Pollard’s high-flying talents helped lead Evans to the final four in the Class 7A state tournament. In the end, the Trojans came up a little short.
But the determination and leadership of Pollard were cornerstones of the team’s 20-win season.
“I’d say real passionate, like love for the game,” Pollard told News 6. “I give it all, no matter what. Losing, winning, don’t matter; give 100% no matter what.”
Head Coach Lonza Morgan described Pollard as a coach on the floor, and Pollard agreed.
“Even if I’m sitting down and we’re winning, if I see something, I’ll tell coach because, at the end of the day, we’re going to make ourselves better as a team,” he said.
