ORLANDO, Fla. – Courtney Patterson was a part of a historic football team at Jones High School.
The senior defensive back was a critical part of the Fightin' Tigers defense this past season. The team completed the first undefeated regular season in school history and earned a spot in the Class 4A state championship game.
“The culture and everything, I really love it here,” Patterson told News 6. “They make you feel at home.”
More than a week before the state final, Patterson took part in the school’s national signing day ceremony, officially committing to play collegiately at Arkansas State.
“[Arkansas State] has great staff, and I know they can develop me and be able to send me to the next level and great connections,” Patterson said. “It’s a place where I can go and lock in and really practice on my craft.”
