ORLANDO, Fla. – Kylie Laszaic can cross off another dream achieved: she gets the chance to play college soccer.
The senior midfielder is a star and leader on Edgewater’s girls' soccer team. As a captain, Laszaic has been a role model to her teammates.
She has also scored 17 goals in her Edgewater Eagles career.
Her soccer journey continues in DeLand next year as Laszaic signed with Stetson women’s soccer on early signing day in December.
“This has been a big dream of mine to do since I was a little girl,” Laszaic told News 6. “I feel like I’m one step closer to every dream I’ve had.”
For Laszaic, it was very important for her to stay close to home.
“Playing in Florida was definitely a need and not only a want,” Laszaic said. “I just don’t see myself going out of state. I’m a very Florida-oriented girl. I’ve lived here my whole life. So I definitely wanted to stay close to home.”
