ORLANDO, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars will need a place to play their 2027 home season and Florida Citrus Sports is working to set up a temporary home in Orlando.
According to Orange County’s Tourist Development Tax (TDT) agenda, the organization will request funding to bring the NFL team to Orlando for one season during EverBank Stadium renovations.
The Jaguars are considering playing games in either Orlando’s Camping World Stadium or the University of Florida’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. There is also the possibility that Jacksonville will play an additional home game in London in 2027.

Set to open in 2028, NFL owners approved Jacksonville’s $1.4 billion “stadium of the future” last fall, a move that will likely secure the Jaguars’ staying in one of the league’s smallest markets for at least another 30 years.
According to WKMG news partner WJXT, a decision on where the Jaguars will play in 2027 will likely come in May.
The Orange County TDT meeting is set for March 24 at 1 p.m.
News 6 received the following statement from Visit Orlando regarding the movement to bring the Jags to Orlando.
“Orlando consistently attracts national and international events that greatly benefit our community, and the potential hosting of the Jacksonville Jaguars home games in 2027 is a prime example of this. We believe Orlando is uniquely positioned for success with these opportunities because of everything the destination has to offer, including the accessibility of our airport, the range of hotels for every budget, and the welcoming nature of our community. For us, hosting these games would drive substantial economic benefits for local businesses, enrich the variety of activities available to both residents and visitors and provide Visit Orlando and our destination partners with opportunities to enhance our domestic exposure, helping us maintain our position as the No. 1 most visited destination year after year.”
