Jamal St. Cyr

Sports Anchor

Jamal St. Cyr joined the News4Jax team in July 2019. He came to Jacksonville from the Scenic City of Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he served as the morning news anchor, sports anchor and co-host of Touchdown Friday Night Football at WDEF.

 Jamal is an award-winning sports anchor who also co-hosted 5th Quarter, a radio podcast at 106.4 FM ESPN and segments for Tennessee Valley Adventures and One Tank Trips. During his time at WDEF, he covered the NCAA tournament in Iowa, the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, the Super Bowl in Atlanta, Hurricane Florence in Wilmington, North Carolina, and many other news and sports events.

Prior to joining the team at WDEF, Jamal worked as a multi-media journalist at KYLE/KWKT, in Bryan/College Station, Texas. Jamal is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University where he played football and co-hosted the two-time award-winning sports talk show From the PressBox on CAU-TV.

Jamal is originally from New Orleans and is a huge fan of the Saints and Pelicans. He enjoys Florida’s warm temperatures, outdoor adventures with his dogs, Beaux and Erin, and working out.
