BAY LAKE, Fla. – It’s only a matter of time before guests visiting EPCOT will get to experience the intergalactic wonders of the all-new attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
The family thrill ride is scheduled to open next summer and will be one of the longest fully enclosed coasters in the world, housed in one of the largest show buildings ever constructed for a Disney theme park.

On Monday, Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle, alongside other Walt Disney World leaders and Imagineers, took an early ride on the attraction.
“After getting an update on the latest progress and an early test ride on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, I have three words: it is AWESOME!!! Thank you to the teams at Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney World who are bringing this amazing attraction to life,” Vahle described in an Instagram post. “I’m looking forward to seeing the finishing touches over the next several months and can’t wait for you to get a look when it opens at EPCOT next summer as part of the park’s transformation!”
The new attraction is in the park’s newly named World Discovery Neighborhood, at the former Universe of Energy pavilion.
Disney plans to share more details about the attraction during it’s 50th anniversary celebration.
