ANAHEIM, Calif – D23 Expo leaders on Thursday night unveiled a model of the new attraction “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure,” which is coming to Disney Parks in late 2024.
The attraction is taking over Splash Mountain at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland and is said to pick up where the 2009 film “The Princess and the Frog” left off. Guests will follow Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen and Louis the alligator through the bayou as they prepare for a Mardi Gras celebration, with new and returning characters and original music.

The model shows a similar look as Splash Mountain but features more trees and a water tower that reads, “Tiana’s Foods,” complete with a tiara on top.
Guests visiting the D23 Expo will get to see the model first at the “Disney Parks and Experiences Wonderful World of Dreams” pavilion.
Disney Imagineers said they traveled to the Louisiana bayou, including historic sites to draw inspiration for the new attraction. They described the new ride as a “love letter to New Orleans” during its presentation at ESSENCE Fest back in July.
Disney said the attraction will feature new advanced storytelling techniques that feature state-of-the-art animatronics and immersive environments.
At Disneyland, not only will guests get to experience the new ride, but leaders plan to add Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets. Eudora is the mother of Princess Tiana.
“Tiana is collaborating with her talented dressmaker mother, Eudora, to open this fantastic little shop, with accessories to create and serve masterful Orleans-style cuisine and more,” Disney said on its blog.
Disney plans to speak more about the future of Disney parks on Sunday during a presentation at D23 Expo.
