BAY LAKE, Fla. – The iconic Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom is set to temporarily close its curtains on Jan. 27, only to emerge later this summer with a brand-new musical act, Disney announced on Tuesday.

The news comes as Disney plans to transform the classic attraction into the Country Bear Musical Jamboree, a toe-tappin’ extravaganza that pays homage to the Opry-style shows of Nashville.

While fans can expect to catch some familiar tunes in the bear rendition, the real bear-illiance lies in the introduction of new, reinterpreted Disney melodies spanning various genres of country music – from bluegrass to pop-country, Americana to rockabilly and many more.

The bears behind the scenes are working fur-iously to create a show that promises knee-slappin’ and paw-tappin’ fun. To give fans a sneak peek into the musical bear-volution, Disney shared a clip at Destination D23, offering a glimpse into the recording session for the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.

Disney did not give a reopening date for the attraction this summer.
