WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Swim your way into SEA LIFE Florida, an aquarium park set to have its grand opening at Legoland Florida Resort this spring.
The aquarium will open on May 23, featuring 25 interactive exhibits including a main ocean display with a “Theme Park Under the Sea” design, a unique theme not found in any other SEA LIFE aquarium, according to a news release from Legoland Florida.

The aquarium is designed with children in mind, the release said, “a vibrant freshwater gallery, a colorful stingray bay, and a hands-on invertebrate touch pool.”
Visitors will also get to encounter more than 3,000 animals representing 150 different species from Florida’s coastal waters and around the world, including blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, big-belly seahorses, and more.
Legoland Florida will be commemorating the grand opening with an immersive scavenger hunt, running daily from Feb. 22 to March 9 during park hours.
Guests can pick up a handout from the Factory Store, and then search for four LEGO marine animals cleverly hidden throughout Fun Town. Participants who find all four creations and complete their handout can redeem a commemorative gift, a reusable SEA LIFE Florida woven bag.
The bags promote the resort’s conservation efforts and will soon be used across the Resort as a sustainable alternative to plastic, the release said. The aquarium, along with Legoland Florida Resort and Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida, will switch to recyclable bags on May 23 as well.
Annual passholders will get exclusive early access to SEA LIFE Florida, according to the release.
SEA LIFE also has an Orlando aquarium located in ICON Park, with a 360-degree ocean tunnel, interactive touch pools, and plenty of marine life to see including fish, sharks, stingrays, and sea turtles.
SEA LIFE is the world’s largest family of aquariums with 50 locations and six sanctuaries worldwide.
