Universal Orlando launches National Epic Universe Portal Tour ahead of theme park’s spring opening

Universal Orlando Resort is set to launch the National Epic Universe Portal Tour this spring (Universal Parks & Experiences)

ORLANDO, Fla. – On May 22, the portals will open. Before that, Universal Orlando will start showing off its newest theme park on a tour.

Set to launch this spring, the National Epic Universe Portal Tour will bring an exciting preview of Universal Epic Universe to fans across select cities.

The tour will stop in Atlanta, New York City, Philadelphia, and Chicago, offering a unique “epic” experience directly to attendees.

At the heart of the tour will be a 30-foot-tall replica of Chronos, the iconic gateway to Universal Epic Universe.

This impressive structure symbolizes the entrance to five immersive worlds: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe.

As the tour travels through each city, guests will have the opportunity to engage with the mesmerizing portal. Visitors will not only be able to take photos, but can also experience a spectacular night show featuring dynamic lighting and immersive music.

Additionally, theme park enthusiasts will have the chance to enter a sweepstakes for a trip to Universal Orlando Resort, where they can experience Universal Epic Universe firsthand.

The National Epic Universe Portal Tour will be open to guests on the following dates from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.:

  • April 11-13: Atlanta, Georgia (Pemberton Place, adjacent to World of Coca-Cola)
  • April 23-26: New York, New York (Rockefeller Center)
  • May 16-18: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (The Rocky Steps)
  • June 13-18: Chicago, Illinois (Pioneer Court)
