Typhoon Lagoon will open for the season on Friday, May 1. After a brief closure on May 1, Blizzard Beach will then reopen from May 21 to Sept. 7.
"This will mark the first time since 2019 that both Walt Disney World Resort water parks – Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon – will be open at the same time, meaning Walt Disney World guests can have wintery fun and tropical thrills this summer," a news release reads. "And guests staying at a Walt Disney World hotel this summer can enjoy either water park on the day of their arrival."
Right now, Blizzard Beach is celebrating its 30th anniversary with “popular Disney characters dressed in winter attire, games, 30th anniversary temporary tattoos, specialty merchandise,” and food before its brief closure on May 1.
After Typhoon Lagoon reopens on May 1, the water park will also offer its popular summertime event, H2O Glow After Hours on select nights from May 23 to Sept. 13.
At this after-hours event, guests can enjoy the park in radiant lighting effects, vibrant décor, and DJ dance parties.
