An Orlando police officer who drove off after being pulled over by a Seminole County deputy for speeding is back on the job, according to a spokesperson for the Orlando Police Department.

On Tuesday, the State Attorney’s Office told News 6 that the officer had no prior criminal history and “a remorseful willingness to accept responsibility for his actions.”

On June 6, Officer Alexander Shaouni was pulled over for driving a marked Orlando Police Department SUV at least 80 mph in a 45 mph zone in Seminole County.
