In one, he turned the camera to show his face while at the Capitol and detailed what he had done. His arrest marks a handful of people from Florida who have been arrested in the two weeks since hundreds of pro-Trump supporters rushed the Capitol building with lawmakers inside certifying Joe Biden’s presidential win. Local arrests include Sanford firefighter Andrew Williams who was pictured inside the Capitol building during the large-scale riot, according to the FBI, and a Marion County man who was arrested twice.

Joseph Randall Biggs, 37, was arrested Wednesday morning in the Middle District of Florida and is being prosecuted in Orlando on federal charges. Biggs is a member of the Proud Boys and describes himself as an organizer of some of their events, according to a federal affidavit. That affidavit also shows several pictures which federal investigators believe show Biggs at the rally and inside the Capitol. Andrew Williams was taken into custody Tuesday on charges of disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and knowingly entering the temporary residence of the president without authority to do so. The picture sent to News 6 shows Williams wearing a Trump 2020 hat and pointing at a placard for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. I ask for the public’s patience as we move through this process,” Sanford Fire Chief Craig Radzak said in a news release. Now, ahead of next week’s inauguration, authorities nationwide are preparing for potentially violent protests and demonstrations.

The Sanford Fire Department said Thursday that an investigation has been launched. The Sanford Fire Department has begun an Administrative Investigation into the information,” a statement from the department read. The Sanford Fire Department confirmed it has also seen the video and it is part of the investigation. Throngs of Trump supporters gathered outside the Capitol to protest Congress confirming the Electoral College votes that ultimately confirmed President-elect Joe Biden’s win over Trump.
