After a history-making mission, the crew of Polaris Dawn is set to return to Earth early Sunday morning, SpaceX said.

SpaceX early Tuesday morning launched the historic Polaris Dawn mission from Kennedy Space Center.

As part of the mission, a four-person crew will go up aboard a Dragon capsule launched by a Falcon 9 rocket from the Kennedy Space Center.

SpaceX and Polaris Dawn are scheduled to hold a press conference on Monday afternoon to discuss their mission planned to launch from Kennedy Space Center later this month.
