A new report says the war in Ukraine, chaos in Haiti and criminal groups in Mexico contributed to a sharp spike in the number of journalists killed in 2022 over the previous year.

Two journalists working for Fox News were killed in Ukraine after the vehicle they were traveling in with another reporter came under fire, the network said Tuesday.

During a press conference at the UCF Athletics department, Gus Malzahn, the Knights head football coach talked about American journalist and filmmaker Brent Renaud, who was killed when Russian troops opened fire just outside the capital, Kyiv, according to Ukrainian police.
