Dexter Rentz Jr., 18, was found in the other vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound, records show. Authorities said they don’t believe the crime was random but haven’t provided details on what led up to the gunfire. Rentz was a standout senior on Ocoee High School’s football team who had received a full scholarship to play for the University of Louisville. As you can see, he had already did that - even in his death,” Rentz’s father said.

Authorities said Dexter Rentz Jr. died in the shooting, which was reported late Saturday near Elese Street and Deerock Drive in Orlando. According to Orlando police, several 911 calls reported gunfire and officers in the area also heard gunshots. The names and ages of the other shooting victims have not been released because an investigation is ongoing, police said. Rentz had signed a football scholarship in December with the University of Louisville.
