A former lieutenant for Marion County Fire Rescue missing out of Dixie County was found dead, according to Dixie County Fire Rescue.

A dead man’s wife and their two sons face charges related to his 2021 killing, according to the Dixie County Sheriff’s Office.

Two men, one from Casselberry and the other from Horseshoe Beach, died early Sunday in a single-vehicle crash with a tree in Dixie County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday will hold a news conference at the Dixie County Emergency Management office in Cross City.

The Dixie County Sheriff’s Office said it’s looking for more information regarding a Palm Coast man’s death in Suwannee over the summer that was ruled a homicide.
