A Volusia County grand jury decided not to charge the former police chief of the Holly Hill Police Department after multiple sexual assault allegations within the department.

A teen was arrested after a vehicle stolen last week in Holly Hill with a toddler inside was found, according to the Holly Hill Police Department.

According to police, 58-year-old Kevin Boyer was last seen Thursday at an assisted living facility in Holly Hill, located at 1562 Garden Ave.

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Two police officers in Volusia County have been cleared by the state attorney for their roles in a fatal shooting at a Daytona Beach apartment that left one suspect dead and an officer injured. Holly Hill and Daytona Beach police officers responded to the apartment complex at 1629 Espanola Ave. on Aug. 29 for an anonymous tip about a person wanted for attempted murder. A witness told officers Harris was inside an apartment with a gun or he had jumped out a window, body camera video showed. Daytona Beach police Officer Dominic Besse entered the apartment and when he pushed open a door he was met by gunfire. A woman was shot Sunday outside Rowsey’s Pub in Holly Hill, according to police. Holly Hill police said the woman was located in a nearby camper and said she was walking to the store when two men in a blue car shot her for an unknown reason. The woman was taken to Halifax Medical Center, according to police. A man who was also in the camper had an active warrant out of Seminole County and was detained by police, officials said. The man complained of chest pains and was also taken to the hospital, police said.
