A new age-restricted residential community being built in Palm Coast under the "Live Local Act" will bring more affordable housing, according to a news release from the city.

The city of Orlando on Monday joined the growing number of county and city governments opting out of a state law that is supposed to bring more affordable housing to communities.

Seminole County is joining the list of local governments who will no longer give tax breaks to developers who offer affordable housing.

In an effort to tackle the affordable housing crisis in Florida, the state legislature in 2023 passed the “Live Local Act.”
