Orlando Hospitality Alliance submitted a proposal to the city Thursday, and it calls for a 5% surcharge on all sales at establishments in Orlando's downtown entertainment district.

A new non-profit aimed at helping entrepreneurs and small business owners in Central Florida's hospitality industry is setting its sights on reducing the food waste that comes out of those businesses.
