Following a tip from a resident, officers made contact with the individual who was shot by officers after failing to comply with police orders, police said. Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Tyler McCoullough in Palm Bay on Christmas Eve, according to the Palm Bay Police Department. Police took into custody 23-year-old Toby Gamble and 17-year old Hunter Oswiecinski, who were both charged with 1st-degree premeditated murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. McCoullough, 33, was found shot multiple times in the area of Forest Knoll Drive and Tree Ridge Lane on Christmas Eve and later died at a hospital.

The Palm Bay Police Department is investigating an incident on Friday where a man approached a girl along Eldron Boulevard near Southwest Middle School. The man, described by police in his 20s or 30s, was driving a black SUV and asked the girl if she wanted to get in the car while exposing himself to her, police said. Detectives are reviewing video from the area and an extra police presence will be in the area to ensure the safety of children, according to police. PALM BAY, Fla. โ A 27-year-old man was arrested after a SWAT standoff in Palm Bay that began with an argument and gunshots, police said. The Palm Bay Police Department said officers were called Tuesday to the Pinewood Drive Apartments for a report of an argument. According to police, Larry Thompson fired shots at two people, then ran into his apartment. SWAT was called to assist and negotiators talked to Thompson, who eventually came out of the unit, officials said. Thompson was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and booked into the Brevard County Jail.

Palm Bay Police Department officials said Larry Eugene Bell Jr., 36, is now facing charges in connection with the fatal shooting of 61-year-old Bobby Knight Jr. on Agora Circle on Nov. 5. Police said at 1:18 a.m., the suspect vehicle drove away. Hes facing charges of second-degree murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was already at the Brevard County Jail on unrelated charges when he was presented with the new charges on Wednesday.

A man is accused of fatally shooting a teenage boy at a park on Sunday and his sister and mother reportedly tried to help him after the fact, according to the Palm Bay Police Department. Police said they were called to Oakwood Park on Koutnik Road shortly after midnight and found Deven Bryan, 17, suffering from a gunshot wound. Hunter Thomas Smiroldo, 18, of Barefoot Bay, has since been arrested on a second-degree murder charge, records show. His mother, Patricia Smiroldo, 59, and his sister, 25-year-old Marisa Smiroldo, have since been arrested on charges of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder, according to a news release. Police said Marisa Smiroldo also knew that her brother was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting and she was trying to get him to flee the area so she could hide him.
