A group in Seminole County is taking applications right now to help seniors and people in low-income households weatherize their homes.

If anyone can give good advice about finding and keeping love, it’s senior citizens.

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Officials in Lake County received more COVID-19 vaccines and began distributing them Wednesday morning, reaching capacity within an hour. “The second shipment of COVID-19 vaccines and distribution will begin (Wednesday) at 9 a.m.,” officials said in a briefing that was held about 30 minutes before the inoculations were to begin. By 10 a.m. Lake County Department of Health officials said the vaccine site at the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center had already reached capacity. Health officials said in regards to vaccine distribution they will evaluate on a day-by-day basis and don’t plan to announce distribution until the day it happens. An announcement will be made through the Lake County DOH website, lake.floridahealth.gov or on Twitter at @FLHealthLake.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Seniors in Volusia County started lining up more than 19 hours before the gates were scheduled to open Tuesday for day two of a first come, first served COVID-19 vaccination event. Cars lined up outside Daytona Stadium before 2 p.m. Monday, well in advance of Tuesday’s state-operated event. Daytona Beach city officials said to ensure their safety, crews allowed the first 1,000 people to enter Daytona Beach Stadium at 7 p.m. Monday. Officials are now saying capacity has been reached at Daytona Stadium for the last day of a two-day vaccination drive.
