The state attorney’s office has announced it would seek the death penalty against a Tavares mother and her boyfriend who were charged with murder after her 10-year-old son died from “unimaginable abuse.”

At Wooton Park, dozens dressed in blue, lit candles and said prayers during a candlelight vigil in Tavares to lift up the family of Xavier Williams.
