Woman struck, killed by tow truck on Semoran Boulevard near Orlando

FHP investigates fatal crash near Cornelia Avenue

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 48-year-old woman was struck and killed by a tow truck late Tuesday in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash was reported around 11:30 p.m. on North Semoran Boulevard at Cornelia Avenue near Orlando.

According to troopers, the woman, of New York, was crossing the street but was not in a crosswalk or at an intersection when she was struck by a Constellation Towing & Recovery truck driven by a 35-year-old Orlando man.

The woman was taken to AdventHealth East and later died, the FHP said.

The truck driver was not injured.

No other details have been released.
