The FHP said the woman was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla east on Old Cheney Highway when she drove into the grass median for an unknown reason. The car overturned and entered the westbound lanes, striking a 2002 Dodge pickup truck, troopers said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an FHP report.

The truck driver, a 30-year-old Deltona man, suffered minor injures, the FHP said.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the FHP report stated.

Correction:

FHP's original report said the woman was driving a pickup, but that information was later corrected by Lt. Kim Montes. Also, the age of the victim is 23.
