Apopka motorcyclist killed in crash with median in Seminole County, FHP says

Crash occurred on East Semoran Boulevard near Balmy Beach Drive

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – An Apopka man was killed Friday night after losing control of a motorcycle and crashing it into a median on East Semoran Boulevard in Seminole County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 11:45 p.m. near Balmy Beach Drive and did not involve any other vehicles, troopers said.

As the 41-year-old man drove the motorcycle eastbound on Semoran, he lost control of the vehicle, struck a median and was ejected in the crash, according to an FHP report.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. According to the report, he was not wearing a helmet.

FHP said the crash is still under investigation.
