ORLANDO, Fla. – A 48-year-old Windermere man was killed Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash with a bridge support beam on State Road 429 in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal wreck happened around 7:40 a.m. on northbound S.R. 429 near New Independence Parkway, west of Orlando.

The FHP said the man was driving a 2015 GMC pickup truck north when he drove off the road for an unknown reason and struck the support beam.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the FHP.
No other details have been released.
