According to an FHP crash report, the 40-year-old Kissimmee man — identified as John Andrew Henderson — was driving a sedan south in the inside lane. The Spring Hill, Tennessee, man, 32, was towing a trailer with a pickup truck in the center lane.
Troopers said Henderson entered the pickup’s lane and collided with its trailer, causing the truck to rotate, strike a guardrail, travel over the guardrail and overturn.
The pickup’s driver suffered fatal injuries at the scene, troopers said. His three passengers — a 32-year-old man, a 31-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy, all of Spring Hill — were seriously injured in the crash, the FHP said.
Henderson was taken to the Sumter County jail, troopers said. He faces charges of DUI manslaughter, DUI serious injury and DUI property damage.
