ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A crash Saturday morning that involved an overturned truck injured five people, including three children, and forced the temporary closure of all northbound E-PASS through lanes on State Road 417 at the John Young Parkway Toll Plaza (mile marker 7), according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a sedan traveling northbound in the inside lane of SR-417 made an improper lane change to the outside lane in the direct path of the truck, which was driven by a 54-year-old Orlando man.

At 10:34 a.m., the rear right of the sedan struck the front left of the truck, causing the truck to overturn and collide with a concrete wall barrier, a guardrail and a pole while its contents — a load of construction debris — spilled onto the roadway, troopers said.
According to a crash report, the truck driver and the occupants of the sedan — all four of whom were from Salisbury, Maryland — suffered minor injuries in the crash. Troopers said the sedan was driven by a 38-year-old man and carried three children passengers: a 16-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy.
The sedan’s occupants stayed at the scene of the crash while the truck’s driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the report states.
The crash prompted the redirection of northbound traffic through toll booths in the area. As of 2:55 p.m., all lanes were reopened, troopers said.
