According to FHP, a 2008 Toyota Sequoia was heading south on Cortenay Parkway when the driver, a 26-year-old Satellite Beach man, ran a red light and hit a 2010 Hyundai Elantra that was attempting to turn onto Hall Road.

As a result of the crash, the Toyota Sequoia spun into a 2005 Toyota Camry that was turning south onto Courtenay Parkway from a parking lot.

The driver of the Hyundai Elantra was pronounced dead on the scene and a passenger from the Toyota Sequoia was flown to Holmes Regional Medical Center. Troopers said the two other drivers were not taken to the hospital and remained on scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
