ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – A driver was rescued Thursday from a burning vehicle in Altamonte Springs after a crash knocked over a power pole, officials said.
The crash happened just after noon on State Road 434 near Orange Avenue.

A Seminole County Fire Rescue spokesperson said an SUV hit a power pole, which caused the pole to fall. The vehicle then caught fire, officials said.
The driver was trapped as flames burned the SUV, but firefighters rescued the victim, who was taken to a hospital in serious condition, according to authorities.
No other information has been released.
