SANFORD, Fla. – A pedestrian was killed in a crash Thursday evening on State Road 46 in Sanford, according to the Sanford Police Department.
According to officers, the wreck occurred near SR-46 and Mangostine Avenue.

Police said that it appeared the pedestrian was in the roadway when they were struck by the vehicle. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital, where they later died, according to the department.
