TITUSVILLE, Fla. – The driver of a motorcycle was arrested in a Memorial Day crash in Titusville that killed his 29-year-old passenger last year, according to police.
Tyler Zimmerman, 27, was arrested Wednesday on a DUI causing death to human/unborn child charge.

Titusville police responded to the crash on South Washington Avenue near Riveredge Drive after the motorcycle slammed into the rear of another vehicle. The motorcycle’s passenger, Kristen Kief, was rushed to the hospital, where she later died, according to police.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Zimmerman was showing signs of impairment and smelled of alcohol. Police said he also “had no recollection of his own passenger” on his motorcycle.
Records show he had a blood alcohol content 1.53 times over the legal limit.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
Zimmerman is being held on a $35,000 bond.
