ORLANDO, Fla. – A 39-year-old Orlando man was killed Sunday night when a car struck his motorcycle in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal wreck happened around 11:05 p.m. on Americana Boulevard at John Young Parkway near Orlando.

The FHP said a 2013 Toyota Corolla made a lane change to the inside travel lane of eastbound Americana Boulevard, entering the direct path of a 2017 Suzuki GSX-R600.

The motorcycle collided with the right side of the car, according to an FHP crash report.

The motorcyclist was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, the FHP said.

The car driver, also a 39-year-old Orlando man, was not injured, according to troopers.

An investigation is ongoing.
