ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Two people were killed in a head-on crash early Friday on a State Road 417 ramp in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 2:05 a.m. on the exit ramp to State Road 528.
According to a crash report, a 2003 BMW 325Ci was traveling north on the southbound ramp of SR-417 to SR-528 and collided with a 2018 Hyundai Elantra heading south on the ramp. The BMW then caught fire in the crash.
Both drivers were killed in the wreck. Troopers said the Hyundai driver is a 29-year-old Orlando man and identification is still pending for the BMW’s driver.
As of 9 a.m., the ramp was still closed. The roadblock was reported cleared by 10:50 a.m.
