LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A semitruck rear-ended a van on the Florida Turnpike in Lake County, causing a chain of crashes, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 7:44 a.m. Tuesday near mile marker 276 in Clermont.

According to a crash report, four vehicles were traveling ahead of the semitruck when traffic stopped suddenly and the semitruck driver couldn’t stop.
The five drivers were all uninjured in the wreck.
Traffic cameras showed traffic at a standstill after the crash happened, but all southbound lanes have since reopened.
An investigation is ongoing.
