Here’s why it’s important to pay attention to your tire pressure when it’s cold out

ORLANDO, Fla. – If you have driven a vehicle any time during that transitional weather from warmer temps to colder temps you have experienced what I’m about to tell you; that flashing yellow light on your dash suddenly telling you that your tire pressure is low.

Maintaining a proper tire pressure is crucial to the safe operations of your motor vehicle. Think about it, it is the only thing on your car that makes contact with the roadway. Having your tire pressure at a sustainable level will allow for your car to drive smooth.

But why does the tire pressure suddenly drop when cold weather comes upon us? Well, in order to break that down, I am going to have your morning meteorologist Candace Campos in Results-1 with me to explain the science behind this, and we will have a discussion on why it is important to maintain a good tire pressure level.
