ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 48-year-old man was killed early Sunday when his car went off the roadway and struck a palm tree in Orange County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. on University Boulevard near Calibre Bend Trail.

According to a crash report, the Winter Park man was heading east on University Boulevard when the car went off the roadway and began to rotate, hitting a curb and then a palm tree.
The man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation is ongoing.
