CLERMONT, Fla. – A 26-year-old Kissimmee man riding a motorcycle was run over by eight vehicles and killed Sunday after crashing his bike on U.S. Highway 27 in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash happened around 6:22 p.m. on U.S. 27 at Frank Jarrell Road near Clermont.

According to an FHP crash report, the man was driving a 2024 Kawasaki south on U.S. 27 when he lost control of the bike and fell onto the road.

The man was then run over by eight vehicles, the FHP said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said the drivers of all eight vehicles remained at the scene, and no one else was injured .

The crash remains under investigation.
