According to a preliminary FHP crash report, a 51-year-old Dade City man traveling east was using the westbound lane to pass eastbound traffic. While returning to the eastbound lane, he lost control of his vehicle, rotating back into the path of the Lacoochee man’s westbound pickup truck, the report states.
The vehicles collided nearly head-on, troopers said. The impact sent the pickup truck into the shoulder, overturning multiple times, according to the report.
