Trooper Steve chats with UCF Police deputy chief, highest-ranking woman in agency history

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Beyond thrilled to welcome Deputy Chief Robin Griffin-Kitzerow into Results-1 today. She joined UCF Police as deputy chief in March 2022 as the highest-ranking woman in the agency’s history.

Prior to UCF, she served the residents of Palm Beach County in several law enforcement capacities dating back to 1987, where she spent nearly three years as deputy chief at Florida Atlantic University Police Department and 20 years with the Palm Beach County School District.

Griffin-Kitzerow is particularly passionate about school safety and threat management. She developed the Behavioral Services Division at Palm Beach County Schools, a multi-disciplinary investigations division dedicated to the identification, assessment, intervention, management and monitoring of school-based threats.

Griffin-Kitzerow holds a master’s degree in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling and a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management, both from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She also earned a second master’s degree in Public Administration from Barry University.

She is currently working on her PhD. in Forensic Psychology with Walden University, and recently earned a third master’s degree while completing her requirements for the doctorate program. Griffin-Kitzerow presents for school districts and various panels around the state and nation on threat assessment best practices in educational settings.
